When I’ve arrived at Palais some cops have held me closer to the others.

One of them has been near me, a guy from Northern Basque country.

“Basque Spanish?” he asked me.

“No, Basque-Basque”.

“I ‘m Basque-French, from a place very near Arnegi, but after high school I became a soldier.”

“So did I! Studies, work and now I’m a service man too, but a volunteer one… with no salary and the only aim to defend our country, yours and mine, as an E.T.A. militant… but I guess we are not on the same side…”
